I obviously decreased the dosage of the Minocyline too soon. Woke this morning with jolts of pain running through the toes of my foot. Going back to 100mg morning and night. I am going to continue this until Jan 1 and return to the doctor for a repeat of the sedimentation rate test. If the results are 3 or less I'll either decrease dosage back to 100mg per day or discontinue considering her advice also. Minocyline does not encourage resistant strains of bacteria so I am not concerned about taking this until the arthritis is completely cleared.
Wouldn't life be easier for those of us with illness if everyone had a Dr. House available. The beauty of the character is that he doesn't even talk to the patient if he can avoid it. With that he cannot form any opinion of them or come to any conclusion without lab results to confirm his diagnoses. Why don't all doctors work this way?
My observations have determined that many doctors are bored and have determined what they are going to do for you before all of the information is gathered. The best doctors I have met, are still curious and willing to learn, even from their patients.
Sharing my personal experience in seeking relief from Psoriatic Arthritis by any means neccessary...
